There is a new program started in the area. If you qualify for Farley’s fund, that would be Senior Federal guaranteed income or Disability ODSP or CPP, or Ontario works (formerly termed welfare), or a woman staying at a women’s shelter, you will be eligible to go to the Humane Society and receive a coupon which entitles you to get a $100 spay or neuter for your cat at a participating vet. Some clinics may at their discretion, require that vaccines, bloodwork and/or IV fluids are needed and to be paid extra for.
It is up to you to phone around for the clinic of your choice. So far there are 8 participating Veterinary clinics.
thanks
